•  Liquidrom

    • Cool thermal bath which often plays techno music in the background. My favorite part was getting to lather up in honey for a grapefruit essential oils sauna treatment

  • Tajikistan Tearoom

    • Good food and tea. I don’t know of any other Tajikistani restaurants.

  • Eat a Currywurst (find any street stand)

  • Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm Center @ Humboldt University

    • very hard to get in unless you know a student there

  • Museum of European Cultures

    • Where I rode a 10 foot tall sheep statue (part of a temporary exhibit on wool back in 2018)

  • Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe

    • Walking through this memorial (respectfully) is encouraged. You almost feel as if the ground is swallowing you up as you move deeper through the many stone prisms.

  • East Side Gallery

    • The largest remaining bits of the Berlin Wall, painted over with many colorful and thought-provoking murals

  • Jewish Museum Berlin

    • I found the room with the metal face plates especially powerful. The Holocaust is obviously a tough subject, but lots of important history to learn about, especially in Berlin. You can feel the impact of WWII and the East-West Germany divide more noticeably in Berlin than any other German city I have visited.

  • Always a fan of Atlas Obscura for more unique recommendations. Many of the above stops were ones I found here.
